However, Daxxify’s exclusive use of a stabilizing peptide makes the treatment last longer, requiring fewer treatments to maintain your results. This makes it a particularly appealing choice for busy professionals and moms on the go.
Where Botox Differs
Neuromodulators, like Botox and Daxxify, are precisely injected into specific facial muscles to diminish wrinkles. These products contain botulinum toxin, which temporarily blocks nerve signals responsible for muscle contractions, thereby relaxing targeted muscles. Consequently, as muscle movement diminishes, the appearance of wrinkles and skin laxity reduces.
Whereas Botox typically lasts about 3-4 months, the propriety peptide in Daxxify enhances the binding of the botulinum toxin to the nerves, leading to longer treatment effects, approximately 5-6 months. Daxxify also has a slightly faster onset of action, about 1-2 days faster than Botox.
Most patients find that Botox has more of an “all-or-nothing” effect, where the product works very well for 3 months then suddenly drops off and movement returns quickly.
