Breast Reconstruction Gallery

This 63-year-old patient had a right mastectomy with a latissimus dorsi flap and implant placement, many years ago. Her shape had deteriorated over time, so she had a revision that involved replacing her implant with a newer dimension of implant and smoothing of the result with fat grafting.

This patient had a BRCA mutation and chose to have a prophylactic mastectomy due to her high risk of breast cancer. She is shown pre-op and after nipple-sparing, direct-to-implant reconstruction.

This woman had a bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomy for breast cancer and BRCA mutation, with direct-to-implant reconstruction. Over time, her breast shape deteriorated and she wanted to exchange her textured implants for smooth. She is seen pre-op and one year post-op with smooth implants in place.

This young patient had breast cancer and carried a BRCA mutation. She had bilateral mastectomy and pre-pectoral direct-to-implant reconstruction with silicone gel implants and Alloderm. She is shown 5 months post-op, after a single-stage surgery.

Not all breast reconstruction involves changes to the cancer side. This woman had severe shrinkage on her left breast after lumpectomy and radiation. After a balancing breast reduction on the opposite side, she had much better symmetry and is more comfortable.

This thin patient had 300 cc implants partially under the muscle.
